The Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Officer is a key role within the Trail finder-CF Innovation Hub, part of the wider Translational Innovation Hub Network for Lung Health and Infection, funded by Life Arc and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The PPIE Officer leads on the development and delivery of the Hub’s PPIE activity, ensuring meaningful involvement and engagement of the cystic fibrosis (CF) community and public throughout the project lifecycle. You will identify and deliver high‑quality involvement projects, events and engagement activities, pursue funding opportunities to support PPIE work, undertake evaluations to evidence impact, and contribute to formal project reporting.
You will work collaboratively with team members across the Trail finder-CF Hub, working in direct contact with the Project Management Team, and with colleagues across the Translational Innovation Hub Network, University of Liverpool, and external partners. The role will also support researchers in the team to embed PPIE into their work and develop training opportunities to build PPIE capacity across the team.
You will also play a central role in communicating the Hub’s work to wider audiences through social media, newsletters and web content. You will act as a primary point of contact for CF community members involved in the project, and ensure all approaches align with UK Standards for Public Involvement.
This post is fixed term for a minimum of 9 months to cover a period of Maternity Leave and is part time (17.5 hours per week).We respect flexible working, and working patterns can be hybrid. Commitment to Diversity
