Laboratory Technician - Rotating Shift

Kelly is currently seeking an entry level Laboratory Technician in the Seadrift, Texas area! This role will be on a rotating shift (DuPont schedule). The Lab technician supports manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples, performing preventive maintenance of laboratory instrumentation, and using data systems to acquire data. The person in this role reports results to the client. This position requires established basic laboratory skills to perform a range of routine lab activities using standard operating procedures and or analytical scientific methods.

• Train to perform routine analyses under direction of senior team members until proficiency is demonstrated.
• Collect samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Provide evaluation of validity of data for routine analyses and take appropriate action.
• Monitor analytical systems and elevate problems as appropriate.
• Document, communicate and archive analytical results and data.
• Follow EH&S and operating discipline management system (ODMS) procedures and practices for work tasks.
• Suggest improvements to lab work processes and tools.
• Escalate non-routine requests to appropriate team members for follow-up.

• Completion of Vocational Education or Upper Secondary Education (i.e. High School Diploma) plus laboratory, manufacturing or other related experience.
• Post Upper Secondary Education coursework in chemistry or related coursework.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Entry level experience preferred - 1–2 years of relevant experience in laboratory, manufacturing, or technical roles
• Willingness and ability to work rotating Dupont shift schedule, including:
  • a Dupont rotating shift, which includes Nights, Days, Weekends and Holidays.
  • 4 nights on / 3 days off
  • 3 days on / 1 day off
  • 3 nights on / 3 days off
  • 4 days on / 7 days off

• Lab coats
• Safety glasses
• Hard hats

• Steel-toed shoes preferred
• Safety slip ons may be required if footwear does not meet standards
