Internship (Full-Time, Summer 2026)
Position OverviewFortis Energy Services, Inc. is seeking motivated students to join our team as a Health, Safety & Compliance Analyst Intern.
This role offers hands‑on experience supporting oil & gas safety operations, regulatory compliance, and environmental health & safety (EHS) programs. High‑performing interns may be considered for full‑time employment after graduation.
- Duration:
June 1 – August 31, 2026 - Schedule:
Full‑time (40 hours/week) - Locations:
Plano, TX or Waskom, TX
- Assist in conducting field-based safety inspections, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and risk assessments
- Monitor job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and oil & gas industry standards
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of safety programs and procedures
- Document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions
- Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and new hire orientations
- Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation
- Promote and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with environmental compliance tasks including spill prevention and waste handling
- Manage and maintain compliance across industry platforms including ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce
- Support OSHA and DOT reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submission
- Maintain employee training records and track upcoming training requirements to ensure ongoing compliance
- Working toward or completed Occupational Safety CER 1 (preferred)
- Basic understanding of OSHA standards and workplace safety principles
- Ability to work in field environments (including outdoor conditions and active job sites)
- Strong attention to detail and hazard recognition skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Interest in oil & gas safety operations
- Organizational and documentation proficiency
- Real-world experience in oil & gas EHS operations
- Hands‑on involvement in OSHA and DOT regulatory processes
- Mentorship from experienced safety professionals

Combination of office and active oil & gas job sites. PPE is required in designated field environments.
