Shift: Night (4:30PM- 4:30AM, Sunday PM
- Friday AM)

The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for inspecting raw materials, fabricated components, and finished assemblies to ensure they meet company, customer, and project specifications. This role supports quality assurance activities within a steel fabrication environment by verifying dimensional accuracy, documenting inspection results, and coordinating with production teams to address quality issues.

Multiple QC positions may be available across departments. Placement will be based on experience, skill level, and operational needs. Entry‑level and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply, and training is available for most positions.

What You’ll Do
  • Inspect raw materials, fabricated steel components, and finished assemblies for quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, squares, and inspection gauges.
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, part prints, work orders, and Bills of Lading (BOLs).
  • Verify materials, welds, and fabricated parts meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Document inspections, non‑conformance issues, and corrective actions as required.
  • Coordinate with production, welding, and shipping teams to address quality issues.
  • Operate forklifts or other material‑handling equipment when required.
  • Support quality checks in production, welding, shipping, or receiving depending on assignment.
  • Work in indoor and outdoor shop or yard environments as needed.
  • Follow company safety policies and promote safe work practices.
What You Bring
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read measuring tools and basic fabrication drawings.
  • Willingness to learn fabrication quality standards and inspection procedures.
  • Dependable work habits and ability to follow established processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work safely in a steel fabrication or industrial environment.
  • Experience in quality control, steel fabrication, welding inspection, shipping/receiving, or forklift operation is beneficial.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing inspection, or quality control preferred.
  • Entry‑level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail will be considered.
  • Forklift certification or welding inspection experience is beneficial but not required.
