Field Quality Inspector; CTX

Overview

Patriot Erectors is a full-service, AISC Certified Steel Fabricator and AISC Advanced Steel Erector. Founded in 1991, the company is located west of Austin, Texas, with a modern 60,000-square-foot fabrication facility. Patriot focuses on fabricating and erecting structural steel facilities and non-building steel structures, with emphasis on quality, safety, and customer service.

The right candidate for this position has extensive experience in safety and will support projects by integrating safety initiatives into project operations. This includes maintaining processes and procedures to prevent injuries and violations of laws or company policies, and minimizing environmental impact of operations.

• Perform detailed inspections of steel components and finished products
• Use measuring tools and testing equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and material integrity
• Document findings and collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and internal procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis

• Proven experience in quality inspection within the steel or heavy manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of steel grades, fabrication processes, and inspection techniques
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality documentation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• CAWI or CWI required

Salary

Pay range: 30 - 42 USD per hour (Central Texas Operations Office)
