Quality Systems Engineers serve as technical owners of equipment- and process-specific quality performance within the organization. Each Quality Systems Engineer is assigned to critical focus areas within our suite of Mechanical and Electrical systems (e.g., Pumps, Blenders, Power Systems, Electrical, Supply Chain, Maintenance, or Manufacturing) and is responsible for driving reliability, consistency, and improvement across that domain. This role ensures that root cause investigations lead to systemic solutions, not repeated failures — and that quality is built into our systems from design to deployment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

(The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")

  • Serve as functional subject matter expert for assigned equipment/process category (e.g., Pumps, Electrical, etc.).
  • Lead technical root cause analysis (RCA) and define corrective/preventive actions via the QMS (Quality Management System).
  • Develop and maintain Best Practices (BPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions for assigned category.
  • Partners with Operations, Asset Integrity, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Engineering on quality-related initiatives.
  • Implement quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, and risk assessments to reduce recurrence of failures.
  • Monitor adherence, trends, and systemic quality KPIs using audit and incident data from the QMS.
  • Support QMS development through documentation hierarchy and alignment with QMS integration.
  • Provide technical support to Quality Representatives and field teams to clarify expectations and coach on quality execution.
  • Participate in Governance Council reviews to represent technical findings, trends, and system improvement opportunities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver's License. Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
  • Daily overtime required and in person, predictable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Applied Science, or related technical field. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years in reliability, quality, or process improvement role, preferably in oilfield services or manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES

  • Deep technical knowledge of assigned systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical, fluid power, or process equipment).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause and risk-based tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, digital QMS tools, and equipment data platforms.
  • Experience developing or implementing SOPs, BPs, and inspection criteria.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Asset Integrity, Manufacturing and Engineering stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a structured, systems-level mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and frontline audiences.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADVANCEMENT: (Promotions may occur only after the following qualifications have been satisfied. Promotions are not guaranteed and are subject to availability of position openings.)

  • Demonstrated impact through quality improvement projects or reduction in repeat failures.
