Senior Research Associate – The Future You Program
Location:
Sydney, NSW, Australia.
Work type:
Part Time (28 hours per week). Fixed Term – 18 months.
Compensation: $127k – $150k + 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading.
About the Role- Independent or team research related to equity, diversity and/or inclusion in STEM.
- Conduct systematic reviews, meta‑analysis and/or empirical research evaluating the impact of the Future You program.
- Inform refinement of the Theory of Change underpinning program design and evaluation.
- Lead reporting of findings to funders, stakeholders and scholarly communities.
- Engage in individual or collaborative research in a manner consistent with disciplinary practice.
- Create scholarly impact recognised by peers.
- Conduct research under limited supervision, independently or as part of a team.
- Develop an independent research portfolio and proposals.
- Mentor and guide students and colleagues, including supervision of research trainees.
- Design and carry out systematic review/meta‑analysis scoped within the Theory of Change.
- Carry out empirical research evaluating program resources.
- Lead reporting to funders, stakeholders and academic communities.
- Align with Code of Conduct and Values.
- Cooperate with health and safety policies.
- PhD in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience.
- Commitment to staying current in equity, diversity and inclusion research.
- Track record of high‑quality, high‑impact research and research leadership.
- Experience with government, industry or philanthropic research funding.
- Ability to report findings via academic outlets and for non‑academic stakeholders.
- High level communication and networking skills.
- Team collaboration and relationship building.
- Organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to UNSW aims, objectives and values, and relevant policies.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities.
