Internship Opportunity at Air Liquide
Air Liquide is the global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare. Present in 80 countries with approximately 65,000 employees, the Group serves more than 3.5 million customers and patients. Air Liquide places diversity at the heart of its activities and is committed to promoting professional equality and the employment of workers with disabilities.
The Campus Innovation Paris (Les Loges en Josas) is Air Liquide's largest research and development center. It develops innovative solutions for all the Group's activities. More than 250 researchers work in 48 laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and experimental platforms, allowing exploration of numerous research fields.
Contribution and GrowthIn the context of the energy transition, the use of hydrogen as an energy vector is growing strongly, particularly as a fuel for hydrogen vehicles. Thanks to its unique expertise in the gas supply chain, Air Liquide aims to be a major player in this high-potential market; a goal that is currently characterized by more than a hundred hydrogen refueling stations sold by the group worldwide.
These stations condition gaseous hydrogen at very high pressure (350-700 bar) to enable rapid filling of vehicles and provide them with sufficient autonomy. As the number of hydrogen vehicles in use and new markets (buses, trucks, boats, etc.) multiply, the need for supplying these stations with liquefied hydrogen (-253°C) is one of the group's development axes.
The objective of this internship is to improve and recommission a unique experimental bench in Europe in a research laboratory managed by the team. The aim is to rethink the operation program of the bench until its commissioning in close relation with the team technicians and domain experts.
Internship MissionsWithin the Supply Performance team at the Campus Innovation Paris, the internship will consist of:
- Understanding the subject, process, and existing tools.
- Identifying needs and proposing a specification document.
- Choosing and following the supplier.
- Supervising acceptance tests and commissioning (with possible tests).
Occasional missions on other experimental benches may be proposed throughout the internship depending on research project needs.
Are You a Match?- Technician with a Bac+3 degree (DUT, IUT, last year BTS).
- Knowledge in instrumentation.
- Knowledge in reading P&.
- Knowledge in automation would be a plus.
- Interest in research and innovation.
- Proactive profile: good interpersonal skills, capable of progressing autonomously and finding necessary information through competent people in the field.
- Rigorous, methodical, and organized to structure the approach and capitalize on it.
- Comfortable with standard office computer tools.
This internship will be carried out at the Campus Innovation Paris, Air Liquide's R&D center in France located in Les Loges-en-Josas (1, Chemin de la Porte des Loges).
