Utility​/Dishwasher

Innisfree Hotels is an inclusive workplace located at the Holiday Inn Resort Surfside Beach. We are seeking a dedicated dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast‑paced culinary environment.

• Remove soiled plates and flatware from tables, wash them thoroughly, restock items, unload delivery trucks, help prepare cook stations, clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash receptacles, and perform other duties as needed.
• Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service‑oriented manner, maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving conflict calmly and poised.
• Have thorough knowledge of menus and required preparation, according to hotel standards.
• Maintain kitchen in a clean and organized manner to facilitate high‑volume production.
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves for easy accessibility.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings for cooking.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other prep.
• Set up workstations and ingredients for food preparation according to recipes.
• Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
• Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
• Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Complete necessary food and station preparation prior to opening of the restaurant to serve guests promptly during operating hours.
• Prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards.
• Recognize quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy, and meat products.
• Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
• Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods.
• Maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working area and observe all sanitary practices.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of dishwashing or kitchen experience; hospitality industry preferred.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English to communicate with guests and team members.
• Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
• Ability to work with computers and good knowledge of operating software preferred.
• Must be able to multi‑task and be detail oriented.
• Must be a team player.
