Assistant Deli​/Food Service Manager

Overview

Pay: $37.00 per hour. Medical, dental, and vision coverage. Three weeks paid time off. 401(k) with 100% match up to 6%.

• Perform duties and responsibilities of the Food Service Manager in their absence or upon discretion.
• Manage product offerings, including jerky, smoked meats, sausage, BBQ, bakery, sandwiches, grab‑and‑go items, tacos, burritos, and hot dogs.
• Solve customer issues quickly in a friendly and professional manner.
• Understand and apply federal, state, and local food‑service and employment laws.
• Ensure proper use of kitchen equipment and appliances, including floor mixers, slicers, ovens, sharp knives, and fryers.
• Manage food‑service employees, protect product quality, and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure accurate completion of food‑service operating reports.
• Implement and enforce safety rules and regulations.
• Interact professionally with team members and customers.
• Employees must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Preferred: experience in restaurants, retail, or management.
• Preferred: bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: minimum five years of relevant food‑service experience.
• Proficiency in food planning, preparation, sanitation, and food handling.
• Proficient skill level in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with POS and transaction devices such as kiosks, printers, tickets, and touch screens.
• Ability to acquire and maintain food‑service certifications.
• May require relocation.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and rotating day/night schedules.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Physical ability to walk or stand for eight or more hours, bend, climb, stoop, crouch, reach, balance, push, pull, and lift up to forty pounds.
