As a Grocery Courtesy Associate, you'll help maintain the store's conditions according to Company standards, engage with customers, and ensure a safe and sanitary shopping environment. Your role will include bagging and transporting groceries, locating products, and verifying prices.

• Properly bag groceries, grouping similar items and avoiding cross-contamination while ensuring customers receive all purchased items.
• Collect shopping carts and keep the parking lot tidy, reporting any incidents or concerns to management.
• Maintain front-end racks, drink coolers, and cleaning supply stations in a clean, stocked, and presentable manner.
• Promote product sales through engaging with customers actively.
• Handle objects carefully to prevent damage to products and property.
• Follow Company guidelines by performing cleaning duties in breakrooms and restrooms, ensuring a presentable store environment.
• Maintain a friendly, customer-focused attitude by greeting customers, answering their questions, and assisting in transporting groceries.
• Adhere to safety procedures, maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace.

• Ability to remain courteous and friendly with customers at all times.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• Able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Awareness of potential hazards, promptly addressing them or informing a supervisor about unresolved issues.

• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Partners must be 21 or older to drive for Company business in accordance with BGC's Business Driver Policy.

• Job requires close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
• Must be able to stand or walk continuously.
• Frequent talking and hearing is necessary.
• Requires regular use of hands for reaching, touching, or handling items.
• Must frequently push, pull, maneuver, or lift objects up to 40 lbs.
• Occasionally, lift objects up to 75 lbs.
• Regular attendance is required.

• Work is typically performed in a retail store.
• Exposure to outdoor temperatures and varying weather conditions is frequent.
• Occasional exposure to wet or slippery surfaces and cleaning agents may occur.
• Noisy to moderate noise levels in the working environment.
