JOB SUMMARYAs a Retail Stock Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are properly stocked and rotated according to company policies. Your leadership and motivation will help foster a positive store culture and adhere to the company's core values.
JOB RELATIONSHIPS- Responsible To:
Store Manager / Assistant Manager - Teammates Supervised:
None - Inter-Relationships:
Frequent contact with all teammates, customers, corporate office, and vendors, along with occasional communication with teammates from other locations.
- Maintain fully stocked refrigerated coolers, store shelves, and displays in accordance with allocations and department standards.
- Adhere to pricing and restocking procedures to ensure product accuracy and proper rotation.
- Handle all cartons carefully to avoid product damage and manage damaged or spoiled items per company policy.
- Assist with ordering and inventory control, reporting errors and shortages to management.
- Support the training and development of new stocking teammates as needed.
- Ensure a safe work environment by maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Unloading trucks, breaking down loads, and restocking products efficiently.
- Collaborate with management on store displays that drive sales and enhance product visibility.
- Communicate effectively with management to relay feedback regarding store conditions.
- Control inventory levels to minimize overstock and stockouts, optimizing sales opportunities.
- Regularly rotate perishable items to comply with policy guidelines.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, maintaining cleanliness in sales and storage areas.
- Participate in store maintenance tasks as needed and report any equipment issues to management.
- Engage actively with teammates and customers to promote understanding of store expectations.
- Follow company guidelines for stocking procedures and ensure well-organized merchandising.
- Training and
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of experience preferred. - Knowledge, Abilities and
Skills:
Strong customer relations skills, basic math proficiency, and good organizational capabilities. - Licenses, Registration and Certification:
Pallet Jack Certification required.
Work in a well-lit and ventilated area, with occasional exposure to refrigeration temperatures as low as 20 degrees below zero, and seasonal outdoor conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis position involves significant physical activity, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and frequently lifting over 50 pounds. Requires extensive walking and standing, along with the ability to climb, bend, push, pull, twist, grasp, and reach.
