• Product selection, including identifying potential brand and product business opportunities.
• Develop merchandising strategies to deliver category goals, staying current on customer purchasing behaviours and product movement trends.
• Build direct relationships with key suppliers, driving sales and margin improvements.
• Effectively develop product assortment plans that maximize inventory productivity and ensure proper receipt flow of merchandise.
• Collaborate with the Planning and Allocation team to develop strategies and achieve collective goals.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry and competitor trends while operating at both tactical and strategic levels to drive selection, sales and margin growth.
• Lead and communicate with vendors, the internal buying group, marketing and upper management.
