Liquor Store Sales Associate

Job Summary

• Greet and engage customers to understand their needs and preferences
• Provide product knowledge and recommend items that best meet customer needs
• Accurately process transactions, including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards
• Address customer questions and resolve pricing discrepancies
• Process returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and provide product information
• Prepare purchased items by bagging, boxing, or wrapping as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support smooth store operations

• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
• Ability to anticipate and respond effectively to customer needs
• Knowledge of retail merchandise or willingness to learn
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and standard retail equipment
• Basic math skills for handling transactions
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Willingness to complete on-the-job training

• Ability to stand for extended periods and operate a cash register
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule
• Ability to perform repetitive movements throughout the workday
