The role in one sentence

You’ll manage and grow a book of industrial customers—quoting fast, keeping orders moving, and being the dependable go-to for maintenance and engineering teams.

If you can keep customers updated without being chased, and you care about doing business the right way—we’ll pay you well and give you room to grow. This is not a “smile and dial” job. It’s relationship-based account management with real products, real urgency, and customers who value competence.

What you’ll do
  • Manage a book of business: take care of existing accounts, expand share, and spot new opportunities inside the customers you already own.
  • Quote and follow through: turn RFQs into clear, accurate quotes and keep customers updated without them chasing you.
  • Own the order lifecycle: order entry, tracking, expediting, fixing issues, and closing the loop.
  • Be a trusted product resource: motors, VFDs/drives, industrial controls/automation, transformers/UPS, instrumentation, and general industrial MRO.
  • Coordinate internally: work tight with outside sales, purchasing, and the warehouse to keep commitments and protect margin.
What “good” looks like
  • Customers call you first because you’re fast, accurate, and easy to work with.
  • Your follow-ups are proactive. Your pipeline is organized. You don’t rely on sticky notes and hope.
  • You protect margin and know when to push back (professionally).
What we’re looking for
  • Industrial sales experience (electrical distribution is strongly preferred).
  • Comfortable supporting products like motors, drives/VFDs, controls/automation, instrumentation, transformers/UPS, and industrial MRO
    .
  • ERP experience (Prophet 21 is a big plus) and solid Excel skills.
  • Strong communicator—direct, responsive, and you finish what you start.
  • You like account management: building relationships, earning trust, and growing business the right way.
  • Commission based on your sales performance
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
