Job Summary

The Inside Sales Coordinator I is responsible for developing new prospects and interacting with existing customers primarily by phone to increase sales. The role includes providing support to customers and account managers by maintaining frequent communication and helping troubleshoot problems. This position works under direct supervision and requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude while relying on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Principal

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain frequent communication with the customer base and gather information to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Handle basic issues and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff.
  • Solicit sales orders from existing customers via phone.
  • Develop new customers via "pull" through marketing Phone‑Internet.
  • Assist in qualifying leads by gauging interest level, time frame, needs, etc., and directing leads to proper channels.
  • Execute market penetration strategy utilizing web‑based sales leads.
  • Communicate sample needs for customers, dealers, and contractors with the plant.
  • Correspond regularly with customers via Brand Bulletins, Brochures, and program updates.
  • Help drive new product sales by communicating unknown products to customers.
  • Work with account managers to comply with customer requests and solve customer problems.
  • Maintain positive relationships with distributors.
  • Work with Product Managers to enhance sales programs.
  • Attend shows and product introductions when necessary.
  • Attend various product trainings, as needed.
  • Prepare various reports and correspondence as required.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of high school graduate.
  • Minimum 0‑2 years of experience, preferably in customer service.
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business‑related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of various office equipment (computer, scanner, etc.).
