Responsibilities
Meridell Achievement Center is a 134‑bed, seclusion‑free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located northwest of Austin. Our 60‑acre campus is complete with mature oaks, rolling hills, and plenty of walking paths and outdoor spaces. We have 7 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development needs with a swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court and playing fields. We provide 24‑hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 10 to 17 years old with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions and improve social functioning.
The Director of Business Development
, as an essential member of the Senior Management Staff, is responsible for directing Community Education/Business Development efforts, and for developing and continuously refining the facility’s business development plan. Consulting with the Chief Executive Officer and other Senior Management Staff, the Director of Business Development designs, develops, implements, and directs the business development strategic goals, philosophy, policies, procedures, and systems, while overseeing the Business Development Department.
The position is responsible for reporting, analyzing, and presenting current market data and trends and for recommending/implementing appropriate business development strategic plans.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field is required
- Masters of Business Administration or related field highly preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years director or manager level experience in organizational communications, referral development, workshop planning, sales management, and physician relationships preferred.
- Current driver license with a clean driving record.
- Market awareness
- Knowledge of competitors
- Knowledge of potential referral sources
- Communication and selling skills
- Proven skills in managing a geographic territory
- Basic supervisory skills.
