Role Description

The Agency Development Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Gilmer, TX, responsible for expanding and strengthening the agency’s producer and client base. Day‑to‑day tasks include recruiting and onboarding new agents, coaching and supporting existing agents, and monitoring performance metrics to drive growth. The role involves building relationships with carriers and partners, coordinating training on products and sales processes, and ensuring agents understand and follow compliance and regulatory requirements.

The Agency Development Manager will collaborate with leadership on growth strategies, assist with marketing initiatives, and provide regular reporting and feedback on market opportunities and agency performance.

Qualifications
  • Experience is helpful but not required; we will train.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills, with the ability to recruit, mentor, and support agents and staff in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
  • Solid understanding of insurance products, carrier requirements, and regulatory and compliance guidelines relevant to Life, Health, and Medicare lines.
  • Proficiency in using CRM or agency management systems, basic office software, and data reporting tools to track performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time‑management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in an on‑site setting.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer focus, with a commitment to non‑discriminatory, inclusive practices.
  • Relevant professional licenses (such as Life and Health insurance) or willingness to obtain them within a defined timeframe.
