The Group Sales Manager at the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront is not your typical sales role. Set right on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard, our hotel offers a unique blend of energy, events, and waterfront atmosphere. In this role you will bring in new business, build strong client relationships, and maximize revenue across rooms, meetings, and vibrant food and beverage outlets.
Job SummaryAs the local on‑property sales contact for customers, the Group Sales Manager proactively solicits and handles all revenue‑related opportunities. The role involves upselling each opportunity to maximize revenue, achieving personal and team revenue goals, and ensuring all business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for service delivery.

Business Results- Builds the department top line revenue by adhering to sales strategy guidelines set forth by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Identifies revenue opportunities based on event profile and market analysis.
- Meets and exceeds individual revenue goals, managing customer budgets to maximize revenue.
- Acts as a mentor and maintains company minimum standards for the sales process.
- Understands overall market dynamics, competition, economic trends, and supply and demand.
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers through calls, entertainment, FAM trips, etc.
- Conducts customer site inspections.
- Targets key accounts and markets with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
- Responds to inbound inquiries within the market segment within 4 hours.
- Closes the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
- Accurately forecasts group sleeping rooms and revenue prior to turnover, and continues partnership after turnover.
- Creates sales contracts as required.
- Comprehends budgets to assist in financial management of the department and meets or exceeds budgeted goals.
- Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction and builds long‑term relationships.
- Coordinates and communicates event details with customers and follows up post‑event.
- Controls presence at all times, greets customers during the event phase, and hands off to Convention Services for execution.
- Provides solutions and alternatives to problems and suggestions to customers.
- Displays leadership in guest hospitality and ensures consistent, high‑level service during all phases.
- Ensures products and services meet or exceed expectations, creating loyalty and increased market share.
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback and handles complaints effectively.
- Reviews Guest Service results with leaders and participates in corrective action plan development.
- Emphasizes guest satisfaction during departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement.
- Utilizes Delphi or other hotel system to capture and manage customer information daily.
Applies broad business knowledge, balances short‑ and long‑term perspectives, and leads the organization toward achievement. Demonstrates commitment to Driftwood Hospitality Management principles and holds self and others accountable.
