Graduate Research Assistant
Position is at the Angelo State University MIR Center located at 7945 Grape Creek Rd. Daily duties include livestock feeding and care, range management, farm maintenance, and other duties, as assigned. Assist with undergraduate labs, and undergraduate and graduate research projects. Assist with educational events, including ag clinics, contests, and the ASU deer hunt. Occasional weekend shifts required.
Regular admission into the M.S. program in the Department of Agriculture. All graduate students who are awarded assistantships must be enrolled in graduate coursework during the terms of their appointments.
This is a physically demanding position. Essential duties are conducted primarily outdoors with exposure to livestock in the heat, cold, wind, rain and dust. Position requires long periods of standing, walking, and moving on concrete and in pens/pastures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
$15,435.00/yr
