GEODynamics in Milssap, TX is looking for qualified candidates for Facilities Maintenance Technician.

Key Accountabilities
  • Performs general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, etc. to ensure that the facility is properly maintained. (Major repairs are performed under the supervision of licensed maintenance workers.)
  • Contact licensed providers and interface as the Company’s representative when work requires licensed and/or contracted maintenance providers.
  • Monitors, maintains, and performs standard repairs to electrical equipment and systems such as light fixtures, switches, and outlets; assists licensed electricians with non-technical repairs as appropriate.
  • Coordinates and manages the outside contractors for recurring services such as mowing, pesticide treatments, septic system maintenance etc.
  • Work with HSE and GEODynamics personnel to ensure walkways and other outside surfaces are suitable for foot traffic during inclement weather such as ice storms, snow, etc.
  • Coordinates and performs preventive maintenance tasks safely to self and other employees while minimizing business interruption and cost.
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • Obtains estimates for supplies, repair parts; requisition parts and materials as needed.
  • Practices safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills/Knowledge
  • Two-year degree or equivalent experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing or mechanical field.
  • HVAC, plumbing, or electrical certification/licensing preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing operations environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment as well as controls in the industrial environment.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs. (over 50 pounds requires team lift.)
