Job DescriptionThis role supports field electrical maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The position is responsible for executing electrical maintenance and isolation procedures, supporting preventive and corrective maintenance efforts, and working closely with operations, vendors, and contractors. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to minimize production impact and maximize operational availability. This position typically reports to a supervisor.
Responsibilities- Support field electrical maintenance activities, including electrical isolation and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for lighting, air conditioning, motors, and related equipment
- Plan and execute scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to breakdown maintenance to minimize production interruptions
- Coordinate and work with vendors and subcontractors as required to complete maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure compliance with Management of Change (MOC) requirements for plant modifications
- Apply technical skills efficiently while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings, and operational simplification
- Comply with and actively promote high Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (SSHE) standards
- Demonstrate responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others at all times
- Utilize Observation Safety Techniques (OST) to report safe and unsafe acts and conditions
- Participate in and support responsible waste management practices
- Attend and actively participate in operations shift and safety meetings
- Communicate field conditions clearly and recommend corrective actions when issues are identified
- Previous experience in a closely related electrical maintenance role, preferably within the oil and gas industry
- Valid and current Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician’s license (license number must be provided on resume or submittal)
- Discipline-appropriate certifications or equivalent professional experience
- Oilfield electrical experience preferred
- Powerline or powerline construction/build experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team player, including collaboration with individuals without direct reporting authority
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequently changing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Pay: $65 per hour
