Position: Diesel Mechanic / Heavy-Duty Technician

They provide diesel diagnostics, repair, maintenance, DOT inspections, and 24/7 roadside service. They’re known for fast, reliable service that keeps customers safely on the road.

Location: Troy, TX

What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, and differentials
  • Perform preventive maintenance (oil, filters, belts, hoses, fluids)
  • Repair suspension, brakes, steering, U-bolts, and frames
  • Read and use diagnostic codes, schematics, and service manuals
  • Perform welding and fabrication when needed
  • Conduct road tests to verify repairs
  • Respond to mobile/roadside service calls as required
  • Document work: labor hours, parts, and service notes
  • Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and organization
  • Assist with parts ordering and inventory
  • Mentor junior techs when needed
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a diesel or heavy-duty technician
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
  • Experience with engines, transmissions, drive lines, suspension
  • Comfort using diagnostic tools, meters, torque tools
  • Welding/fabrication skills (preferred)
  • Ability to read manuals and schematics
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus or willingness to obtain)
  • Physically able to lift heavy parts and work under vehicles
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
Nice to Have (Not Required)
  • Mobile or roadside diesel repair experience
  • DOT inspection knowledge
  • Fleet maintenance experience
Working Conditions
  • Shop and roadside environments
  • Exposure to noise, grease, heat, and outdoor conditions
  • Use of heavy tools, lifts, welding equipment
  • Lifting 50–100+ lbs
  • Occasional overtime or emergency calls
