Location: Wilmer
Holder Construction is seeking Carpenters for a new project in Wilmer, TX.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who thrives in a challenging and fast-paced environment. They should be able to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously, remain flexible, and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities- Construct and maintain safety handrails, hole protection, steps, ladder assemblies, and temporary weather enclosures.
- Perform tasks such as sawing, stripping, nailing, burning, measuring, tightening/loosening bolts, drilling, and other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Read and interpret basic construction drawings.
- Maintain professionalism and demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, using critical thinking to solve issues.
- Minimum 3 years of construction experience.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA 10, fall protection, and mobile elevated platforms (boom and scissor).
- Strong time‑management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Must be agile and mobile, able to stand or walk for long periods, use fingers, hands, and arms to reach, handle, and manipulate objects.
- Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds, and other equipment, and work on uneven surfaces or heights.
- Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing 50‑100 lbs for up to 75% of the shift.
Work is performed outdoors in an OSHA‑compliant safety environment. The position may require overtime and weekend hours; punctuality and promptness are expected every day.
