Job Description
Rogers Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanic to work at our site in Vega, Texas. This full‑time position involves performing repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections on a wide variety of mining and quarry equipment and fixed plant equipment. The applicant must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair major components such as engines, brake systems, transmissions, torque converters, hydraulic systems, drive train components, heating/cooling systems, and electrical systems.
Hourly pay (based on experience): $25 – $35 per hour.
Qualifications- Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
- Minimum of two years of experience working on heavy equipment.
- Perform heavy or major maintenance repairs as needed.
- Perform routine scheduled maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks.
- Complete maintenance and work‑order repair records.
- Inspect machines for abnormalities or defects.
- Ability to weld and fabricate, as needed.
- Familiarity with heavy‑equipment parts, including parts catalogs, procurement, handling, storage, and cost management.
- Perform housekeeping duties and conduct work‑area checks.
- Operate mobile equipment.
- Operate a company vehicle on public highways and job sites.
- Capable of working with limited supervision and scheduling own work.
- Weekend work or overtime may be required.
- Ability to stoop, push, kneel, twist, and lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to climb and perform work at heights up to 20 ft.
- Ability to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
- Ability to develop working relationships with other employees and vendors.
