A Concrete Finishersmooths, levels, and finishes freshly poured concrete surfaces (like sidewalks, floors, curbs) using hand/power tools (floats, trowels, screeds), sets and aligns forms, cuts joints, patches voids, and ensures quality by monitoring weather and curing, requiring physical fitness, teamwork, and safety compliance. This position will work from blueprints, manage materials, and collaborate with other construction trades to achieve specified depths, pitches, and finishes.
Requirements
Experience- Preparation:Set forms, direct subgrade work, and read blueprints to calculate materials.
- Placement:Guide concrete trucks, spread fresh concrete with rakes/shovels.
- Finishing:Level, smooth, and shape surfaces using floats, power trowels, and screeds.
- Detailing:Cut expansion joints with saws, create broom/raked finishes, and patch imperfections.
- Curing:Apply curing compounds and monitor weather effects (heat, wind, cold).
- Maintenance:Clean and maintain tools and equipment, load/unload materials.
- Physical Ability:Capable of heavy lifting (50+ lbs) and standing/bending for long periods.
- Tool Proficiency:Skilled with concrete floats, trowels, power screeds, saws, etc..
- Safety:Adherence to all site safety policies (PPE, chemical handling).
- Teamwork:Strong communication and collaboration with crew members.
- Other duties as assigned
Current valid driver’s license and safe driving record, Air Conditioning/Brake Certification a plus, CDL a plus
Preferred SkillsTeam player, time management, planning & oversight, problem-solving, leadership and communication
Safety PoliciesThe employee in this position must follow the company’s safety policies and procedures as described in the company’s safety manual
