System One is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic / Reciprocating Engine Mechanic with hands-on experience working with Volvo and Caterpillar diesel engines within oil & gas and power generation environments. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines and associated equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Reciprocating Engine Mechanic Responsibilities

+  Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Volvo and Caterpillar diesel and gas engines

+  Perform major overhauls and rebuilds on reciprocating engines (power generation units, emissions systems)

+  Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance programs

+  Inspect and repair fuel, lube oil, cooling, ignition, and air systems

+  Utilize OEM diagnostic software and tools

+  Support field service operations, including remote site work

+  Maintain accurate maintenance and service records

+  Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

+  Assist with commissioning and decommissioning of equipment

+  Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime

Reciprocating Engine Mechanic Requirements

+  High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred

+  3-5+ years of heavy-duty or industrial engine experience

+  Proven experience with Volvo and Caterpillar engines

+  Strong knowledge of reciprocating engines in oil & gas or power generation

+  

Experience with diagnostics, rebuilds, and troubleshooting

+  Valid driver's license

+  Reliable transportation

+  Ability to lift 50+ lbs

+  Work in outdoor and industrial environments

+  Ability to stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces
