As a Senior A&P Mechanic
, you will perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, documentation, and inventory support to keep aircraft safe and mission‑ready.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review and evaluate daily aircraft maintenance and inspection requirements.
- Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
- Investigate and repair airframe, power plant, and related aircraft systems issues.
- Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule changes, aircraft changes, additional manpower, or technical assistance.
- Support maintenance of aircraft assigned to the field base.
- Monitor stock levels and requisition spare parts as needed to complete required repairs.
- Maintain the safety and security of company assets at the field base.
- Prepare reports, requisitions, inventories, aircraft logs, inspection forms, and maintenance documentation.
- Certify aircraft logs and related maintenance forms in accordance with FAA, manufacturer, and company requirements.
- Complete required entries in maintenance tracking systems, including work packages, status sheets, removals, and installations.
- Maintain close communication with the Lead Mechanic, base leadership, and other internal teams to ensure timely job completion.
- Maintain parts inventory and recommend inventory level changes when needed.
- Maintain company‑provided special tools and ensure calibration is completed as scheduled.
- Perform additional maintenance and operational duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate is a reliable, safety‑focused A&P Mechanic who can work independently in a field‑base maintenance environment. You should be comfortable troubleshooting aircraft issues, completing accurate documentation, supporting parts inventory, and communicating clearly with maintenance leadership and operations teams.
This role is a great fit for someone who understands that air medical maintenance has no room for “close enough.” The aircraft needs to be safe, compliant, and ready to fly — every time.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings
. - Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience as a certified aircraft mechanic.
- Ability to perform aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs.
- Basic communication skills.
- Computer skills required.
- Ability to pass a pre‑placement physical exam, including a functional capacity exam.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
- Ability to live within one hour or 60 miles of the assigned base
