Location: Fort Hood

Five Rivers Analytics (FRA) is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Combat Systems (Construction Engineer) to work in Fort Hood, TX. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

** Responsibilities*
* + Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling heavy military equipment, with a focus on combat systems such as engineer equipment, including trucks, bulldozers, power shovels, graders, loaders, and other heavy machinery used in construction and combat support operations.

+ The role requires specialized knowledge of hull and turret operations, plus general heavy equipment maintenance. Perform field-level and sustained maintenance on engines, transmissions, drive trains, hydraulic systems, brakes, fuel systems, and electrical components. Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects, dismantle/reassemble using hoists and hand tools, and replace defective engines, transmissions, and subassemblies.

+ Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency.

+ Weld broken parts and structural members.

+ Repair, adjust, and maintain mining machinery (stripping/loading shovels, drilling/cutting machines, continuous mining machines).

+ Oversee non-specialized mechanics to ensure quality repairs.

** Qualifications*
* + Must be proficient with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

+ Must have experience with turbine engines, diesel/gasoline engines, and complex fire control systems.

+ Must have Operator-level knowledge of combat system capabilities and procedures.

+ Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.

+ Must be able to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and for CAC (Common Access Card) eligibility.

+ Must be able to bring and use own General Mechanics tools.

** Desired

Qualifications:

*
* + 7 years of maintenance experience on a required combat system and construction equipment.

+ 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience.

+

Experience with U.S. Army maintenance procedures (AR 750-1).

+ U.S. Army MOS 91L/62B series qualification.

+ Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement preferred.

+ ASE certification preferred.

+ HVAC EPA Tech Cert 608/609 preferred.

+ High School Diploma or GED.

+ Valid Driver's License.

** Physical Demands:*
* + Ability to lift 50 lbs, push/pull, carry, stoop, bend, squat, and reach.

+ Work in heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather.

+ Periodic overtime .

PAY & BENEFITS

+ Hourly rate $28.38

This is a military contractor position, so familiarity with Army maintenance standards and combat vehicle systems is essential.
