Job Overview

Location:

Mont Belvieu, TX. Civil Operator position at Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD), a member of Koch Engineered Solutions, focusing on natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical projects.

• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Efficiently and safely operate heavy mobile equipment associated with open pit mining.
• Perform minor service and maintenance on equipment.
• Recognize and document potential job hazards in compliance with company policies.
• Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Operate in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
• Work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for at least eight (8) hours.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including safety equipment.

• Actively participate in a strong safety culture.
• Recognize safety hazards and risks.
• Participate in onsite safety meetings.
• Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures.
• Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite.
• Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work.
• Display a positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment.

• Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.
• Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
• Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day (breaks given in 2.5‑hour intervals).
• Moving the entire body with considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.
• Must have good hand‑eye coordination.
• Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.

• Six (6) months or more of experience operating one or more of the following in the construction and/or mining field:
  • End dump truck (Caterpillar 770 class or larger)
  • Excavator (Caterpillar 325 class or larger)
  • Front‑end loader (Caterpillar 950 class or larger)
  • Dozer (Caterpillar D8 class or larger)
  • Wirtgen Surface Miner 2200SM
• Able to work in an industrial environment as described in the position.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to adhere to the safety regulations of the position.
• Able to work all shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days a week as required by the project.

• One (1) year or more of experience working with construction and/or mining equipment.
• Currently Parts 48 MSHA trained.
