Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman

Position Summary

TIC is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for their project located in Gail, TX.

• 3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Must be able to maintain, diagnose, and repair all types of heavy construction equipment including hydraulic, electric, and power train systems.
• Experience working with Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, and Takeuchi.
• Experience with diagnostic systems such as CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, and Diesel Laptop.

• Up to $39.00 per hour.
• $150 per day worked per diem.
• Current schedule: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and nights when required.
• All offers contingent on passing a Drug and Alcohol test and a non‑DOT physical test.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable field experience.
• Strong working knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the position.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management and supervisors.
• Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools, layout tools, and measurement tools.

• Requires constant movement on a construction/industrial site (standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling).
• Exposure to changing outdoor weather conditions.
• Work may involve irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays.
• Potential use of ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, and scaffolds (may exceed 200 feet) requiring balance and climb ability.
• Tasks may be performed in confined or cluttered areas and uneven surfaces.
• Work in noisy and dusty environments.
• May need to lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Must carry required tools and comply with safety and project rules.
• Ability to pass pre‑access drug and alcohol testing and medical fit‑for‑duty assessment.
