Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Amentum is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Electronics Systems Maintenance Technician IV to join our Position, Navigation and Timing Program. The best candidate will be a committed team member, resourceful and dedicated to providing services to military units as well as taking the time to transfer their gained knowledge to the soldiers they interact with. This position will be based out of Fort Hood, TX with frequent travel to different locations throughout the United States.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Provide field support services related to troubleshooting and repair of systems.
- Perform software updates and mentor soldiers in maintenance execution.
- Facilitate higher‑level repair of equipment.
- Ensure support equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained.
- Install, modify, wire, fabricate, and maintain systems.
- Distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi‑vendor systems.
- Associate’s degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from an accredited college or two‑year technical school.
- Two additional years of experience may substitute for the AA/AS degree requirement.
- Must have an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Six years total experience with testing electronic equipment.
- Four years experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic subsystem installations in military systems.
Hiring salary range: $75,000.00–$85,000.00 annually (based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities).
