Position: Refurbishment Truck Mechanic

Overview: Responsible for rebuilding and refurbishing our fleet of Tank Trucks, including installation of PTOs, vacuum pumps, hydraulic and electrical systems. Earn a sign‑on bonus of $7,500. Work in a state‑of‑the‑art facility handling heavy‑duty diesel tank trucks.

• Build and refurbish assets in a team environment for Clean Harbors and Safety‑Kleen.
• Participate in safety activities such as monthly inspections, safety board updates, and daily toolbox talks.
• Perform mechanical refurbishment tasks involving electrical/wiring and hydraulics.
• Accurately record time, parts, and inspection checklists electronically.
• Move company equipment safely in the yard and shop as needed.
• Keep the shop area clean, tidy, and free of hazards; report hazards and near misses.
• Repair, rebuild, and install equipment/vehicles—including drive shafts, PTOs, vacuum pumps, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Enter time and materials into an electronic work order system.

• 1–3 years of experience as a Tank Truck, Heavy Equipment, or Fleet Mechanic in a shop environment.
• Experience with equipment/vehicle refurbishment and/or hydraulic/electric systems is an asset.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use web‑based software and vehicle diagnostic systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Team player with ownership and pride in the facility.
