Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day upkeep of our property, buildings, and grounds. This is a generalist role for someone who's genuinely handy - comfortable moving between electrical, HVAC, plumbing/water systems, and general repair work, and ready to tackle whatever comes up on a given day. No certifications are required, but hands-on experience across multiple trades is a must.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and repair across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic electrical issues (outlets, fixtures, breakers, wiring)
  • Support HVAC upkeep and basic troubleshooting (no certification required)
  • Assist with water system maintenance, including pumps, irrigation, or plumbing repairs
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and preventative maintenance to catch issues early
  • Respond to a wide range of maintenance requests across the property, adapting as priorities shift
  • Communicate clearly with the Facilities Director and teammates on job status and needs
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work
  • Keep company-issued tools and vehicles in safe, clean working condition
  • Follow all company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support emergency needs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; no certifications required
  • Prior experience with electrical work and HVAC systems strongly preferred
  • Experience with water systems (plumbing, pumps, or irrigation) a plus
  • Broad, hands‑on "handyman" skill set - comfortable picking up new tasks across trades
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching
  • Comfortable working on rooftops and ladders
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold
