Job Overview
Amherst Studio Built is a modular housing manufacturer located in Cuero, Texas. The role is a Plumbing Lead responsible for installing plumbing systems for modular homes.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with plant and safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Lead a team to install all plumbing requirements for modular homes.
- Inspect, test, and repair plumbing fixtures as necessary.
- Provide constructive feedback to associates on the quality of their work.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required duties.
- Provide feedback to help reduce costs of materials or time to perform tasks.
- Currently hold or have a current or expired Texas plumbing license (JMN). Must have held a Texas JMN license.
- Minimum of four years’ experience in plumbing.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead and train manufacturing associates.
Employees may be exposed to noise, wood products, plastics, lubricants, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
Physical Demands- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Position is very active; requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
- Must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
- Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to communicate effectively (written, verbal) and maintain a professional level of interaction with all members of the company.
Computer SkillsComputer literate; able to read documents on computer or iPad.
