Critical Facilities Engineer
Location:
On-site – Colorado City, TX.
Shift: Day and night shifts available.
Responsibilities- Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems to maintain 100% up‑time, including fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, chillers, CRAC, CRAH, plumbing, controls), electrical (UPS, ATS, STS, PDU, generators, primary switch gear, power distribution, transformers), and hot water systems.
- Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, and air‑conditioning equipment; boilers, ventilators, water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, filters, and other mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Record readings, make adjustments, and implement corrective actions to ensure proper operation.
- Analyze the operation of various systems, diagnose problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action as required.
- Comply with departmental policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Understand and manage incidents and events that may risk critical systems, including work‑order management via CMMS, vendor management, and customer‑facing tickets.
- Execute emergency escalation procedures and perform additional duties as required.
- 2+ years of experience working in a data center.
- Experience with mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, CRAC, CRAH, plumbing, controls) and electrical backup systems (lighting, UPS, ATS, STS, PDU, generators, primary switch gear, power distribution, transformers) and hot water systems.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Suite, and CMMS.
- Corrigo experience
- Universal EPA 608 certification
- NFPA 70E training
- Frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting (minimum 50 lbs), stooping, and working/extending overhead; ladders up to 30ft; 300‑lb weight limit for climbing.
- Ability to work different schedules, including holidays, and respond to site emergencies.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
