Location: Port Isabel
Full-Time Public Works Maintenance Laborer
Position Summary:
Must be knowledgeable of basic construction methods, and safety procedures and practices. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing, and skilled in performing work requiring strength and agility in all weather conditions. Must be able to use various equipment including shovels, picks, jackhammers, circular saws, chainsaws, and drills. Responsible for clearing vegetation and trash from city streets, sidewalks, and alleys quickly and safely.
Must follow oral and written directions, identify and correct potential safety hazards, and quickly identify details of distant objects.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.
- Position will remain open until filled.
