Our contents division is a key part of what sets us apart, ensuring our customers' belongings are protected, cleaned, and returned with care.

Position Summary


We are looking for a Contents Moving Technician with professional moving experience to join our contents team. In this role, you will bring hands-on moving expertise to protect and transport our customers' belongings during water and fire loss recovery — properly wrapping furniture, disassembling and reassembling items, and loading trucks in a way that prevents damage. You'll also work alongside our Contents Cleaning and Packing Technicians, helping pack and clean contents as needed.



Key Responsibilities


• Load and unload trucks with contents removed from loss-affected properties, using proper techniques to prevent damage

• Wrap, blanket, and protect furniture and household items for transport and storage

• Disassemble and reassemble furniture and other items as needed for safe moving

• Assist with documenting contents being packed, including noting any pre-existing damage

• Assist with packing household items into boxes and completing inventory lists using company software

• Help clean contents affected by mold, smoke, or fire damage as needed

• Communicate professionally with homeowners on-site

• Ensure job site safety and organization

Requirements


• Professional moving experience required — must know how to properly wrap, pad, and secure furniture and load trucks without causing damage

• Experience disassembling and reassembling furniture (beds, tables, cabinets, etc.)

• High attention to detail — accuracy in documentation, packing, and handling of belongings is critical

• Good attitude, team player, good work ethic and integrity

• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record

• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding work

• Comfortable working in varying conditions, including homes affected by fire, smoke, or mold

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed

• IICRC certification a plus, or willingness to obtain upon hire

• Bilingual a plus



Physical Requirements


• Frequent bending, lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods

• Ability to lift and carry 75+ lbs regularly, including furniture and appliances, working as part of a lift team for heavier items

• Ability to maneuver large, bulky items through doorways, stairwells, and tight spaces without causing damage

• Comfortable working in dusty, smoky, or damp environments with appropriate PPE

• Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work on your feet throughout a full shift
