Electrical & Instrumentation Technician II

Plains is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician II to support safe, reliable operation of our midstream energy infrastructure. In this field-based role, you will install, calibrate, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment across pipeline and terminal assets, including motors, control systems, PLCs, and field instruments. You will perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance, interpret drawings and P&IDs, assist with commissioning, and collaborate with operations and HSE teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems at pipeline and terminal facilities
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on motors, control systems, PLCs, and field instruments
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable operations
• Assist with commissioning, testing, and documentation for new or upgraded equipment
• Work closely with operations, engineering, and HSE teams to support safety and reliability goals
• Interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals to diagnose issues
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to operational upsets or emergencies
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
