Plains All American Pipeline is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to support safe, reliable operations across our pipeline and terminal facilities. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, control, and instrumentation systems critical to crude oil and NGL transportation and storage. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, drives, PLCs, and measurement devices; calibrating and testing instruments;
interpreting drawings and P&IDs; and responding to field issues to minimize downtime. You'll work in a performance-driven, safety-focused, and collaborative environment with strong emphasis on integrity, environmental stewardship, and long-term career growth in the energy infrastructure sector.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems for pipeline and terminal operations
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, drives, PLCs, and control systems
- Calibrate, test, and document performance of measurement and control instruments
- Support startup, shutdown, and commissioning activities for electrical and control equipment
- Respond to maintenance calls to minimize downtime and ensure safe, reliable operations
- Interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and loop diagrams to plan and execute work
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve reliability and performance
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards and company procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and use CMMS for work orders and parts
- Participate in continuous improvement, training, and reliability initiatives
