We are seeking a Construction Supervisor – Insulation to lead the installation of insulation across advanced mechanical systems, including liquid-cooling infrastructure, piping, pumps, and HVAC equipment, within high-performance data center environments.

This role requires hands‑on supervision, cross‑trade coordination, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Job requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial or industrial mechanical insulation, including at least 3 years in a foreman, lead, or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising insulation work on chilled‑water piping, process piping, HVAC ductwork, mechanical equipment, tanks, valves, and fittings; data center or mission‑critical project experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of insulation materials and systems, including closed‑cell elastomeric insulation, fiberglass, mineral wool, cellular glass, polyisocyanurate, removable insulation blankets, vapor retarders, and metal or PVC jacketing.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, insulation schedules, specifications, equipment submittals, and manufacturer installation requirements.
  • Working knowledge of applicable insulation and energy‑efficiency requirements, including ASTM standards, ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, SMACNA guidance, and industry best practices.
  • Strong understanding of vapor‑barrier continuity, condensation prevention, weatherproofing, personnel protection, and corrosion‑under‑insulation risk controls.
  • Ability to perform material takeoffs, plan manpower, coordinate access and sequencing, and manage daily and weekly production targets.
  • OSHA 30 certification required;
    First Aid/CPR, competent‑person, fall‑protection, scaffold‑user, or aerial‑lift certifications are a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and conflict‑resolution skills, with the ability to manage multiple contractors and priorities in a fast‑paced construction environment.
  • High attention to detail with a practical, solutions‑oriented approach to field quality and constructability issues.
Other important requirements:
  • Pre‑employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
  • Must provide own steel‑toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
  • Must be comfortable working a rotational schedule, which includes day and night shifts as well as weekend work, based on project needs.
  • Employees working night shifts will receive a 15% premium added to their hourly rate only for hours worked during night shifts.
Job responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise insulation installers, foremen, subcontractors, and specialty vendors performing mechanical insulation work across the project.
  • Plan daily activities, assign crews, coordinate access, and monitor productivity to achieve project milestones safely and on schedule.
