Job Summary

Permian Lide Industries is hiring experienced welders for its Troy, TX location. This role is ideal for candidates with strong technical welding skills, fabrication experience, and excellent attention to detail. NO PER DIEM OR RELOCATION OFFERED.

• Perform FCAW, GMAW, and MCAW welding (no SMAW/stick).
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and set machines accordingly.
• Troubleshoot welding equipment to maintain production quality.
• Run open root welds (max 1/8”), bevel prep (35°), fill, and cap
• Perform MIG roots; flux core or metal core fill and cap passes.
• Prepare base metal (remove contaminants prior to welding).
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, tolerances, and weld heights.
• Perform tack & fit-up and maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Assist with weld inspection, repair, and post-weld cleanup.
• Support general site work: loading/unloading, cleanup, scaffolding, and construction tasks.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding job progress and issues.
• Follow all API & Permian Lide safety policies.

• 2–5 years welding experience (FCAW, GMAW, MCAW required).
• 2–5 years fabrication and print reading experience.
• Strong knowledge of welding symbols, tolerances, and measurements.
• Experience with code welding, vessels, and weld repairs.
• Ability to use tape measures, squares, levels, and 2-hole pins.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.

• Must pass 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G welding tests.
• Open root (1/8” max) and 35° bevel.
• Must pass bend test and X-ray inspection.
• Must pass 3G plate test.

• Heavy lifting up to 35 lbs throughout the day to perform tasks.
• Ability to kneel, squat, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to work 10+ hour days, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to climb up to 15 feet.
• Must be comfortable working around heavy equipment and high-speed machinery.
• Must wear required PPE at all times.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass drug screening.

Pay determined upon successful completion of weld test. Competitive pay. Rate of pay will be established upon successful completion of weld test.
