Multicraft Skilled Helper

Job Summary: The Multicraft Helper provides general labor support across multiple trades on industrial construction sites, including mechanical, civil, and structural crews. This role assists skilled craft workers by performing a variety of tasks that help maintain productivity, safety, and workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist skilled trades (carpenters, ironworkers, pipe fitters, equipment operators) as directed
• Transport, load, and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Prepare and clean work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Hold materials and tools for craft workers during installation
• Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, digging, and assembling under supervision
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely
• Assist with site layout, setup, and teardown activities
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
• Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of job site

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• 6m–2 years of construction or labor experience
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Dependability and punctuality
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Safety awareness and attention to detail
• Adaptability to different tasks and crews

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights (as needed)
• Capable of working in hot, cold, and wet weather conditions
• Industrial and commercial construction sites
• Exposure to heavy equipment, noise, dust, and concrete materials
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• May require overtime, weekends, and travel
