Overview of the jobHelping to keep the public safe. Giving people the chance to turn their lives around. Building a rewarding professional career. The job holder will undertake the full range of work with people on probation before and after sentence, including assessment, sentence implementation, offender management and producing reports. The role involves providing case management support, assessing and managing risks, giving information to courts and working closely with agencies throughout the justice system.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and risk management for offenders on probation.
- Implement sentence conditions and monitor compliance.
- Produce timely and accurate reports to support court decisions.
- Provide practical advice and support to offenders on housing, employment and other needs.
- Collaborate with courts, agencies and other stakeholders in the justice system.
- Empathetic, patient, and resilient.
- Strong written communication skills – able to produce clear reports to tight deadlines.
- Experience working with people who have social or personal difficulties is desirable.
- A degree is not required; personal qualities and relevant experience are the focus.
The applicant must have the right to work in the UK. This role is not eligible for a new Skilled Worker visa from 22 July 2025. If you held a Skilled Worker visa prior to that date, your eligibility will be assessed accordingly.
