RoleMainframe Engineer/Developer
LocationWestlake, TX
Job Responsibilities- Collaborating with business analysts and project managers to gather requirements and design technical solutions
- Creating and executing test plans to ensure application functionality and quality
- Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to other developers to ensure code quality and adherence to standards
- Troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to suggest process improvements or new solutions.
- 5+ years of experience writing, testing, and debugging COBOL programs using established coding standards and best practices
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining JCL scripts to manage batch processing and job scheduling
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining DB2 databases to support application data needs
- 5+ years of experience writing and maintaining CICS transaction programs to provide online access to mainframe applications
- Good knowledge of CICS, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, MQ and JCL
- Good CICS System knowledge
- Good understanding of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing process
- Familiarity with DB2 tools, File-Aid, scheduler and debugger tools
- Good communication and ability to interact with partners
- General knowledge in core Java and front-end technologies (Angular) is a plus
- Endeavor Software Manager migration tool/process
- SFTP/AWXAY secure file transfer knowledge
- Ability to work independently and within a team structure?
