Overview
As a Web Developer III, you will design, develop, and maintain dynamic websites and web applications using PHP frameworks such as Word Press, Symfony, and Laravel, deployed within a scalable, load‑balanced cloud environment. You will work closely with project managers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver full‑stack solutions while maintaining high code quality through testing, documentation, and version control.
Responsibilities- Implement responsive, visually appealing user interfaces with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build server‑side logic, database interactions, and secure authentication using PHP frameworks (Word Press custom themes and plugins, Symfony, Laravel).
- Use approved AI tools to enhance development productivity and code quality, ensuring security and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements, manage scope, and deliver on schedule.
- Write clean, modular, maintainable code with performance and scalability in mind for a load‑balanced, cloud infrastructure.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and code reviews to deliver reliable and stable applications.
- Manage the codebase with Git, including workflows, Git Hub Actions, secrets management, and pull request rulesets.
- Document code, processes, and project updates to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with web development trends, technologies, and best practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a minimum of 6 years of proven work experience in a related field.
Technical Expertise
- Strong object‑oriented PHP coding, especially with Symfony;
Laravel knowledge is a plus. - Word Press development experience (custom themes and plugins).
- Experience with HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript; familiarity with Type Script.
- Knowledge of WCAG and ADA accessibility guidelines.
- Proficiency in version control using Git and Git Hub.
- Ability to create and document REST APIs and maintain Postman collections.
- Experience integrating third‑party services and APIs (email, SSO, CRM, donation platforms).
- Familiarity with Doctrine and database abstraction layers.
- Active use of AI development tools with sound judgment around security and privacy.
Additional Skills
- Experience with Dev Ops tooling (Vagrant, Chef, Python, Fabric; Docker, CI/CD, AWS services).
- Scrum methodology familiarity.
- Database design, backup, and restore.
- Knowledge of Java, Vue.js, or Python/Django is a plus.
