Requirements- Must be currently enrolled student at Sul Ross State University.
- Interested in football, coaching, athletic administration, or event operations.
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work up to 15-19 hours per week.
Position Summary: Sul Ross State University is seeking dedicated and responsible student workers to assist in the daily operations of its NCAA Division II football program. This position offers a hands‑on experience for students interested in athletic operations, coaching, and team management. Ideal for aspiring coaches, sports managers, or student‑athletes looking to stay connected to football while in college.
Student Assistant Football Manager- Assist with practice setup and breakdown, including equipment and field prep.
- Manage and distribute water, footballs, and gear during practices and games.
- Help maintain and organize locker rooms, uniforms, and equipment storage.
- Support game‑day operations, including sideline setup and communication with coaching staff.
- Assist position coaches with drill setup, practice organization, and player instruction.
- Support video breakdown, film uploads, and tagging using Hudl or similar platforms.
- Participate in recruiting events and campus visits when appropriate.
