Local Delivery Driver - CDL A - Hallettsville, TX

Position duties include delivering to all types of customers including Food service, driving the delivery vehicle, and merchandising product in stores. Responsibilities involve rotating and stocking shelves, building displays, setting up promotional signage, generating invoices, and daily settlement of cash and charges. Lifting loads up to 45 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds, and reaching/bending are required. Product is unloaded and stored in backrooms using electronic pallet jacks or hand trucks.

• Deliver product and execute all promotions
• Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift
• Merchandise all accounts to local standards
• Establish positive working relationships with primary contact at each account

• 21 years or older
• Pass the DOT drug test and DOT Physical
• Valid U.S. CDL with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)

In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.

• Operating trucks requiring a Valid U.S. CDL license (e.g., driving forwards/backwards or maneuvering in tight spaces)
• Adhering to all DOT regulations
• Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, rotating products, cleaning shelves, eliminating out-of-stock and out-of-date products)
• Using equipment to aid in hauling loads (e.g., operating pallet jacks, using dock plates, load bars, straps)
• Operating equipment such as pallet jacks, lift gates on trailers, hand trucks, breakdowns, etc.
• Documenting DOT regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Because the material job duties of this role involve regular field work, including visiting customer locations and interfacing with employees, vendors, and customers, a conditional offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
