Overview
We are hiring for our Beasley, TX location. This is an experienced Logistics Coordinator position for a global company with a family-values culture. The role supports engineering, craftsmanship, and quality in our products.
Responsibilities- Performs Level I and II responsibilities
- Reviews Freight and Packaging invoices for accuracy and codes to the respective order or project by using Corcentric and US Bank portals
- Focuses on coordinating collection of domestic inbound purchase orders and storage material transfers to/from site
- Stocks skid requisitions
- Logs and reviews customer POs for compliance; verifies shipment accuracy and tracks to ensure alignment with ERP
- Prepares and publishes monthly ACHEs shipped report with weekly reviews to ensure projects are marked as shipped in the system
- Provides estimated dimensions, weights, and large cargo freight quotes
- Calculates and provides crate/packing quotes
- Creates truck or container load plans
- Identifies and solves logistic challenges
- Oversees shipping options to optimize cost-effective methods and carriers
- Reviews BOLs generated in Shippers Edge to ensure freight charges align with chart or customer freight terms
- Secures specialized trucking or equipment rental
- Facilitates freight claims
- Stocks material requisitions
- Enforces the company safety program and procedures
- Trains and develops team members for next level
Office environment as well as outdoor work. The following essential PPE will be required daily.
Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging and shipping required; shipping forensics is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years in Logistics / Supply Chain related experience
- Proficient with the latest INCOTerms, especially for import/export shipments
- Experience in Parcel, LTL, 3PL, and Heavy Haul transportation
- Advanced skills with ERP and MS Office, especially Excel
- Highly responsive to high-volume emails and attentive to details
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work regularly scheduled hours and report on time after breaks or lunch periods
- Must be able to work overtime on short notice as required
- Required to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
