Yard Driver Opr DB2nd Shift​/Shipping​/Center, Tx

Job Details:
This position pays $18.50 /hr with a $1.00 shift increase for 2nd Shift. This position is responsible for transporting trailers across the yard and docking/undocking trailers as necessary for the operation of the Receiving dock. The Yard Driver retrieves the full trailers on in-bound product and delivers them to the Receiving dock. The driver will also remove and stage full trailers for outbound Routes shipment.

Effective Communication Skills Required Candidates must possess effective communication skills to ensure safety, efficiency, and coordination in the yard. This includes the ability to clearly convey and understand instructions, collaborate with team members, and respond appropriately in various situations, including emergencies. Effective communicati Duties:
Responsible for ensuring the truck yard stays free of debris and trash. Will be responsible for pre-trip inspections on the Yard trucks and ensure any defects are reported to your supervisor immediately for repair. Responsible for the cleanliness of the yard trucks daily. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high-pressure hose. Complete required logs Will be responsible to ensure that “Safety” while operating a yard truck is top priority on over radio and with all levels of management is also essential.

Requirements for Consideration:
Must have at least six months of relative non-CDL Driver experience with single employer within the last 12 months Must have a clear Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and pass the MVR Records check. (No DUI/DWIs in the last 12months). Must be willing and have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, shovel, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.

Valid State issued Driver's license. At least 18 years of age Must be willing and have the ability to effectively communicate with supervisor other team members via 2-way radio. Must pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment. May be willing and able to operate front end loader, man lift, or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so. May be willing to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
